Terra has been awarded exclusive Internet and mobile rights to transmit the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games in Spanish and Portuguese, in Latin America and the United States, announced Brazilian President of Terra for the Americas, Fernando Madeira, this Thursday. Alejandro Adamowicz, General Director of Terra Argentina and Gerardo Adame Legorreta, of Terra Mexico, made the announcement in their countries. Terra was the first webTV portal of Latin America to be genuinely funded through advertising after acquiring the World Football Cup 2006 rights.

Mobile television system ProTV, which operates with pre-recorded programming on LCD screens installed in rental vehicles in Argentina, will incorporate Antina Digital as its new content supplier. Antina is a pay TV operator in Buenos Aires through UHF DVB, and this could be its first experience exploring the DVB-H system in public and private means of transport.
